Committed to community and advocacy
I am an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., an internationally recognized public service sorority dedicated to promoting academic excellence, community service, and advocacy for social justice. I developed an launched the Taboo Tea, a health forum focused on open, honest discussions of topics that are often considered sensitive or overlooked, particularly in the areas of sexual health, wellness, and personal empowerment. This program has been ongoing for over two decades. Additionally, I was a partner and community educator for Parent to Parent of Georgia (P2PGA), contributing to resource development, family engagement training, and outreach that strengthens parent advocacy and inclusion across Georgia. My collaboration with the Georgia Council for Developmental Disabilities (GCDD) through a community grant, further allowed me to advance legislative priorities and community initiatives that enhance access, independence, and opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities.
